Description
The SV 977D is a Class 1 Sound and Vibration Level Meter designed for advanced acoustic and vibration measurements in building acoustics, occupational noise, and environmental monitoring. It is equipped with a ½” MK 255 microphone, delivering a wide frequency range from 3 Hz up to 20 kHz, and offers excellent long-term sensitivity stability. The meter provides an extended measurement range up to 40 kHz for ultrasound analysis, making it suitable for industrial and medical applications. The SV 977D offers a total dynamic range from 16 dBA RMS to 140 dBA Peak (from the instrument’s noise floor to the maximum measurable level), while the IEC 61672-1 linearity range—measured with a margin above the noise floor—spans from 23 dBA RMS to 140 dBA Peak. This ensures both wide measurement capability and full compliance with the standard.
The meter is fully type approved to IEC 61672-1 Class 1. A wide range of accessories and a typical price of €4,000–€6,000 make the SV 977D a comprehensive and versatile solution for sound and vibration consultants.
